yup that is the purpose of that article to serve as a guide to those who would like to try out FOSS for themselves. when i was reading it i realize that that was the road that i took when i was first trying out FOSS. It states there you would have to determine your intentions in using FOSS. when i first tried it out in 2006 using ubuntu 6.04 i was really really disappointed since my primary intention then was to go around the windows licensing requirements for my internet cafe. it took around another two years in 2008 through an encouragement of a friend that i got involved with the FOSS community by participating in the various activities of the Computers Professional Union and the International Open Source Network. there i realize that my intentions were all wrong that it should be not to work around the problem of piracy but more on contributing to its solution by providing alternatives to the use of proprietary software by the those who could not afford them

i am not saying that i am using a pure FOSS set up. i still have my windows system on standby since not all FOSS software could satisfy my needs. like in my line of work i do a lot of layouts for invitations and programs that i feel could be best be handled by microsoft publisher. i do still have some problems sharing files in open office format since most of the people i know uses microsoft office so i am faced with some formating problems. so most of the time i share my docs file in pdf format if i really need to get them to work with it i just used microsoft office to do it.

it is really difficult for someone who is oriented with windows all his life to engage the task of using FOSS. the orientation is different and the manner in which we would customarily do in windows is not the same in using FOSS. but the best part of it is that you are learning new computer skills and a new way of doing it in which could be an achievement by itself.

It's up sa mga game providers not on the developer's side kung maglagay sila or hindi.

citing example of "private servers" di sila gumagamit ng anti hack tools, nag wo-work mga ito sa linux.

Hi sir Six di ba sir you are using Gyachi for YM?
