Operating System : Slackware
Desktop environment : Xfce
Timer : Cafe con leche
Applications: Open Office 3, skype, gyachoo, firefox 3.6, google chrome
Games: heroes of newerth, glest, Savage 2, urban terror, true combat, FEAR Combat (wine), 2029 online (wine), tales of pirates (wine),

eto additional apps/drivers :
Gutenprint - printer (cx5500,ip1980,ip6320d)

Marami pa sana akong tanong about linux pero till now im still reading more info about this system.

those who would like to try out linux please read first the blog post in the following link: www.psychocats.net/ubuntucat/a-home-user...m-windows-to-ubuntu/

so that you would better understand the issues related to migration from windows to linux.

not unless you would be able to understand these issues then your journey in the world of open source software would not be complete

A lot of developments in this area. Like Flash for instance. Hindi pa sya as perfect as Flash running on a windows system. E popular pa naman yan.

Wine. It has been around for quite sometime and the developers f wine have been pulling hair trying to run windows applications in linux. Great idea, but the bigger question is, why would you want to do that. Whats the purpose anyway? Windows applications are meant for Windows. And Linux applications are meant for Linux.

My 2 cent.
