You can put a Tomato router behind the ISP modem pwede mo ng tanggalin yung dalawang routers. Sky is the limit na kung ano gustong mong gawin pagkatapos lol

Bossing ito yung diagram ni TS.

asashi wrote: Mag tatanong lang po sana ako regarding this IDEA wala po kasi akong makita about sa ganitong topic, sana matulungan niyo po ako sa experiment ko if possible po ba ito, i want to learn more about routing a system

Eto po yung sample diagram na gusto ko sanang manyari if possible ba, to run smooth in a small network system:

WiredIdeas wrote: But what do you think will happen if i plug the rj45 cable to lan1 of router1 instead of the wan port from ISP modem same thing to router2. With both routers set into router mode and every device in this network is on static IP and with the ISP modem doing all the NAT. All of them in the same subnet but with different IPs with all devices in this environment set to ISP modem's IP address as their gateway? :))

Modem has only 1 working LAN port. So it's either you plug it into the WAN port of ROUTER1 or ROUTER2 but obviously can't be both (and they must be on subnet different to that of the LAN). So what's the use of the other router then? At any rate, the default gateway must be the router connected to the modem and NOT the modem itself.

Again, I have to re-emphasize router's interfaces must be on different subnets.

Yep, single router is the way to go. Or if it causes too much confusion, just use the ISP's modem/router/switch combo and be done with it.

Assuming nga lang daw kasi na pwede magamit yung lan1 and lan2 ni isp modem :)

assuming I have 100mbps in Lan port 1 of my ISP modem and on the same ISP modem again 100mbps of Lan port 2 and hindi ko po purpose ang hatiin the main purpose is pagsamahin but having same gateway, note po single ISP lang po ang pinaguusapan hindi po dalawang ISP in that case the concern is the IP conflict which has the same gateway, the question is ok lang ba na same gateway ay pagsamahin sa buong entire network?

Take a look at this:

ISP modem (192.168.1.1) ---> router1 (192.168.1.2) --> router2 (192.168.1.3)

As everyone who has knowledge of networking here said na basura yang gustong mangyari ni TS and i agree. Pero analyze that diagram kung pwede ba as is, devoid of bandwidth managing and other BS routing ek ek yung gusto nya lang mangyari kasi. Hypothetical question = hyphothetical answer lang.

Let me repeat myself again, for this to work as it is, you only need to change one thing and that is, instead of putting the lan connection from isp modem into the wan ports of the routers you will instead put it into the lan port of the router and it doesn't matter which port any lan port available will do.

*sigh*

we don't need assumption na kung gagana ung 2 LAN ports ng modem at magbabato ng tig 100mbps. been telling you nagawa ko na yan dati sa mga HG series na modem ng pldt. I even have 4 ports working with different IP address, that means to say i have 4x more speed than subscribed plan. hindi ko to pinakalat ako lang ata talaga naka discover nun lol. ginamit ko sa shop ko. LAN 1 200mbps Lan 2 200mbps. Put in kerio =400mbps. sadly ayaw na gumana ngayon. I think more than a year ko din sya napakinabangan.

Kaya alam na alam ko tanong ni TS dahil sigurado ako he has something in his modem sana ma share sa akin hehehe

1 modem (200mbps Plan) using 2 LAN ports = 400mbps
