Agree.
We have developed codes for kiosks with thermal printer attached to a mini computer (i.e. r-pi, etc). It has a lot of hardware issues (i.e. thermal paper jam, loose wiring issues, digital coin slot not reading, corrupted SD card during brownouts, etc).
We also created codes for a kiosk that displays the username and password to the LCD. Still the same issues with erratic coin slot. Complaints from customers and operators are mounting!
The mechanical coin head is really the best option. It has a life of more than 800k operation!
After working in a Reserch and Development company for many years. We have proven that solutions to a problem does not have to be as complicated as we thought..
And since i am already on this subject. I just would like to share my thought on how Filipino forums differ from other countries. I could see that in other countries,, forums serve as channel for each member to share ideas that can help other members. Filipino forums still has the crab mentality behavior. We need to improve on how each and everyone should share their minds.
