@ jduval.

I know that the issue is over, but I would just like to address yung tanong ni mark1981 kanina regarding rule #11, at para maliwanagan na rin ang lahat about the principle behind rule #11, and to set the record straight.

So, for the sake of argument, let's make the assumption for now na hindi kasali sa terms and conditions yung prohibition about misusing BB tags and/or hindi minention ng admin ang terms and conditions.

Rule 11 (relevant latter part):

...while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.

When this forum was formed years ago, it wasn't expected na ang quote feature ay gagamitin sa maling paraan. All the while ang expectation ng site admin was the members have enough sense to use the quote function properly. Unfortunately, hindi ito nangyari. That's what the text in blue meant in principle: the misuse of the quote function wasn't anticipated.

So what if the quote function was misused? If you look at it, the misuse was causing a disruption sa forum. Inaabuso ang designed expectation ng quote function (i.e. members should have enough sense to use the quote function properly). By extension, naaabuso ang forum. Naturally, the admin couldn't allow that to happen. This is where the text in red comes in. Kaming mga moderators we took it upon ourselves to take the necessary action na para sa amin ay sensible and appropriate para lang hindi ma-disrupt ang day-to-day operation ng forum. That's why I kept reminding members to kindly refrain for abusing the quote function. That's why sir homebiz created this thread. That's why he dutifully edited out a lot of the posts to the point na nangalyo na ang kanyang kanang kamay.

Hindi nga kami admin, hindi nga kami ang site owner. But remember, we were granted the privilege to act on the site admin's behalf and in his interests to keep this forum's day-to-day operation as smooth as possible.

So there you go: an "ELI5" version. I hope this clears things up, once and for all, what rule #11 is all about.

For the record, I messaged sir nsprime and asked his opinion behind my reasoning.

He agrees with me 100%

With that, let's move on. Tulong-tulong tayo para maiangat ang layunin at hangarin ng ULOP.

Thank you.
