1. Type 192.168.1.1 on your browser or the IP address of your router before you flash it with Tomato.

2. Forward TCP port 3389, the default port for Remote Desktop Connection, to the IP address of the home computer you want to access from outside the network

I succesfully flashed my router ASUS WL-520GU sa Tomato firmware.

I am a subscriber of PLDT which is a PPOE type connection sa WAN nya. Ok naman sya at mga one year ko na gamit using Tomato.

But now I switched to Bayantel STATIC Business Line in which doesn't required any password. So pinili ko sa WAN type nya is Static. Next linagay ko na IP add na provided ng BayaTel, tapos GATEWAY,SUBNET MASK, and the DNS. So I am pretty sure na I inputted correctly yung mga iyon.

But still no Internet. I've used the Ping command wala pa rin. Sa status naman ng Tomato connected sya.

I have a spare router na DLink DIR 300... linagay ko uli ang mga WAN network details. Ayun sandali lang mi internet na ko.

So, please sa mga Experts, kindly help me baka mi configuration pa ko kailangan galawin kasi mas gusto ko Tomato firmaware dahil sa dami nitong features.

Salamat po. God bless.

What's your tomato version? Have you tried clearing the nvram first?

v1.28 po

pero sinubukan ko na rin itong version na ito: Tomato-1.28.8520_RAF-USB-VPN ayaw pa rin.

Pero sa PLDT ok naman po sya.

Ganda sana nitong Tomato-1.28.8520_RAF-USB-VPN ang daming features like bandwidth limiter and VPN.

up

ganda pa rin nito
qos + bw limit, redundant but very effective

just revived my 520gu and flashed 128 by shibby
very much impressed with this fw

not bad for a dirt cheap tomato flashed router

here's a very useful little tomato trick for you

lan ports
lan1 - your network, unli bandwidth

lan2 - your wifi etc - set bandwidth to your hearts desire
sample 1mb. all wifi users will share that 1mb connected sa lan2

let your imagination roll

goodluck ;)
