or the system unit simply reboots? <<<--- nag BSOD due to high CPU temp, memory error, device driver error.
try mo muna mag safe mode, and remove your ide drivers. then reboot and reinstall the drivers from the motherboard driver cd. if the drivers load and windows boots up fine, yun na nga problema.
if not, check the temperature. if it's going anywhere near or over 70C (unless intel and mobo mo), temp is too high. check your heatsink mounting, fan speed sa bios, or put in new thermal paste (150 pesos from cdr-king good for 4-6 units)).
clean your memory sockets. module may have a loose contact. spray with electronic contact cleaner (399 pesos at Handyman).
