Guys share ko lang itong cybera cafe administration. Open source siya, so it is free. Gamit namin dati is cafesuite kaya lang dahil sa demo version lang and mahal ang license so we opt to use this one.

So far ok siya kung you are using timecodes, memberships and opentime mode.

We are currently using 1.9 Final version.

Cybera server features:
 1. WOL (wake on lan)
 2. Locked and unlock client PCs
 3. POS (Point of Sale) with Inventory
 4. Database management (Backup and Restore)
 5. Restrict client PCs (recommended kung XP Pro ang OS)
 6. Remote Shutdown and restart (lalo na kung madami)
 7. Supports up to 50 client computers and shop members
 8. Semi-flexible pricing for prepaid, timecodes and members (definable sa cybera server recharge)
 9. Reports (sales, system logs, etc) can be exported as csv for Excel or Open Office Calc (useful sa amin ito)

Cybera Client features:
 1. Customizable client lockup screen (pwede ilagay ang sariling logo and PC number pati personal message or announcements)
 2. Can be configured using dhcp or static IP addressing
 3. Customizable Time for time left reminder (Pop up Message on time end)- pwede ding disable ito pero walang ganito sa server.

Wala pa kaming masyadong nakikitang bugs regarding sa charging, POS, and inventory. Sa client control meron konti lalo na kapag masyadong mahigpit ang gamit mong anti-virus. The client pc tends to have some 30sec-1min delay kapag nag-close yung client or nagshutdwon yung PC after use.

Our setup is...
SERVER
 1. WinXP Home
 2. Comodo Antivirus (FREE for commercial use)
 3. TightVNC (Remote dekstop admin - gamit namin just in case nagka-problem yung client)
 4. Some Registry edits para ma-hide yung Desktop icons, disable task manager, disable right click, disable windows key, etc. .(By the way, this is run using a batch file pwede i-config sa cybera server to execute upon client start and cliend end.)

CLIENT (18 units)
 1. WinXP Home
 2. Comodo Antivirus
 3. Rocketdock Desktop Toolbar (disabled kasi yung Programs Menu namin)(Tip: naka enable lang yung run command just in case mag-close itong program na ito pwede namin i-browse sa installation folder for re-run)
 4. Spyware blaster and Spybot S&D
 5. DOTA
 6. All e-games, RF, PW, MU, amped, tantra

With the setup above naka-disable yung built-in restrict feature nung program kasi hindi siya compatible sa XP Home so we made our own using registry edits. Nag-create kami ng restrict and unrestrict registry files then created a batch file to run it using the built-in feature ng cybera server. We also used a process killer para i-simulate yung reloading ng explorer without restarting the PC (Kasi to enable the registry imports it is vital na restart the PC). We saved this to a particular shared folder per PC (including server ... just for referencing) para pwede namin i-edit anytime.

The Cybera Server is operating under strict charging. Considered na nyang paid everything that is under the membership accounts, prepaid, and timecode once you recharge this pricing groups. Postpaid lang po yung charged based on time used may sarili na po itong algorithim pero pwede po i-change yung bracket (usually every 15mins).

AS of now OK naman yung flow ng timer. Yung mga customers na iba ayaw lang nila na may reminder. We enabled it to inform them of their remaining time and give them some chance to decide to extend their time. We are implementing timecodes, membership accounts and postpaid. Usually timecodes ang issue namin tapos nire-recharge lang pag mag-extend or gagamitin. Kaya PAY before your USE policy kami.

We are observing everything right now. Wala pa akong masyadong knowledge sa programming though available yung source code niya for development. Feel free to ask kung may mga questions kayo regarding the usage baka makatulong.

Sana makatulong po ito.

Post edited by: ryudo5, at: 2007/12/14 11:09

gusto nyo popular one?

CyberCafePro now has a freeware version. Freeware na sure pwede sa lanshop . CyberCafePro freeware version is also has the feature of standard version. No time limit. Hindi ito trial.

I have no time testing it yet since steady na ako sa current timer ko, pero you people may give it a try.
