Clonezilla Live Free Cloning Software. (Absolutely Free, No Fear)

Clonezilla is based on Debian Linux. Live, no installation needed onto the system. Can be used for Network based deployment, yung mga nag kakalas pa ng Hard disk sa cloning baka puede niyo subukan ito.


A. Preparing the Live Boot Clonezilla.

1. Download Clonezilla @ www.clonezilla.org/download/sourceforge/
For CD, download the .iso file (clonezilla-live-1.0.10-8.iso)
For USB, download the .zip file (clonezilla-live-1.0.10-8.zip)
Space required: 100mb.

2. For CD, Burn the .iso file.

For USB, format the USB to FAT file system.
-Unzip the clonezilla-live-1.0.10-8.zip to the USB, the folders must be preserved the way it was.
-Run the \"makeboot.bat\" on the USB, make sure you run the one from the USB, not the one on your localdisk because your Windows may not boot if you did. Example if your USB is in E:\ drive, must run the E:\makeboot.bat.

B. Boot up the CD or USB.

C. Making a backup/clone via External HDD or Network.

Ga gana ba ito sa external USB drive or USB hard disk?

Gagana yan sir basta kasya, usually ang fresh install + patches no games na windows ay ma compress sa 1.5gb to 1gb(slow but max compression). Kaya kailangan ng 2 gb na usb. Puede rin usb-hdd kung kasama games kasi malaki laki na yung image. Wag lang gumamit ng ntfs filesystem kung saan ilalagay ang Clonezilla files, pero puede ntfs kung saan ilalagay yung image file.

Kung gusto gumamit ng ntfs at ayaw fat32 sa usb-hdd dahil sa fat32 4gb limitation:

Partition1 150MB fat32/ext3 Clonzilla files < ito ang boot files
Partition2 ntfs < dito isave ang image.

Wala naman magiging problema ang image file sa limitation ng fat32 dahil chop chop naman i sesave yung files tig 2gb.

Mas maganda ito libre, bihira naman tayo mag cloning lalo na pag naka deepfreeze/steady state na, kaya bakit pa gagastos.
