Kailangan meron spare time, kahit di full time, or siguro once 1 week. Kung willing kayong sumali. Hindi kailangan ma sacrifice ang mas importante sa personal life or work niyo.

In saying that, kudos to TS' effort. Learning Linux is indeed fun and interesting.

Uber, user-friendliness is inversely proportional to flexibility (thus, control).

Back to topic.

Nag google search ako eto ang ibig sabihin nito: STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach.Feb 11, 2014

If you really want to learn the innards of Linux (or any other OS), face it head on. Kalkalin mo agad at the lowest level na kaya mo. In case of Linux, umpisa sa commadline, filesystem at syempre any CLI text editor.

Sa opinyon ko, ang mga "technie" ngayun, they focus more on how to swipe, use of "smart" devices (iphone, android, tables etc). Pag marunong mag swipe-swipe, techie na. In reality, you are just another consumer of technology rather than a producer. At dahil sa trend na yan, we're going to get behind even more simply because most of the pinoys (including IT or CompSci students) are misguided.
