na try ko dati ubuntu desktop 12.04lts sa vmware workstation 7..so far successful naman sa installation...binura ko nalang yung image kasi na eengganyo ako sa puppy linux...may ibang derivatives sa forum nila aside from website

nagtry din ako kagabi install ng ubuntu 12 lts..after mainstall, testing then removed ko rin kagad.di ko kasi type.hehehe.

praktisin ko muna yung puppy linux

eto yung plan ko atom+2gb mems+usb (eto silbing hdd ng puppy linux)
nghahanap kasi ako ng di gaanong mabigat na linux OS

so far para sa akin ok ang puppy linux..
if gusto mgwindows games, rdesktop nalang sa windows...ehehehe

version 6 po gamit ko eh..malamang need ko vmware 8...sa mga old version ng linux ok naman po ,un po gamit ko currently...pero sa latest release na ubuntu server ayaw mainstall..hang lang sa blank screen lang,,,even fedora 17 ayaw ma install at wala po sa option ng vmware si fedora kaya i choose linux/otherlinux64bit...kaso ayaw din...update ko na lng siguro vmware ko,

In my humble opinion (IMHO).

Ubuntu - as a desktop; Pero ok din ito as a server.

Redhat - for server applications. Sa mga big companies. Meron bayad ang RedHat. Like licensing.
