@madintel & mga bossings:
Ang 8% Commuted Tax Rate ay included sa TRAIN 1 (pls refer to RR 8-2018) as an option to a simplified filing of tax returns. Dito sa 8%CTR, there's no need to file for business tax (GRT or VAT), instead income tax lang ang liability ng registered taxpayer (which is 8% of gross receipts less 250K deduction). So, sa loob ng 1 Taxable Year, 3 Quarterly Income Tax Return (1701Q) at isang Annual Income Tax Return (1701A) lang ang need i-file ng taxpayer. Financial Statements are not required as an attachment.

Sa sample na pinag-uusapan natin, yung data ni @Kitziel is good only for the 3 quarters (although tama computation for the three quarters). Need idagdag gross receipts for the last quarter para mabuo ang Taxable Year gross receipts nya, less 250K deduction. The resulting amount multiplied by 8% will be his tax income due.

so sir fox kailangan pala sa 8% tax ratei-maintain mo ung malaking gross mo para maliit lang babayaran mo sa annual ITR? ganun ba yun? so kung maliit lang gross mo mas malaki pala ang babayaran mong tax kasi malaki rin taxable income mo? so hindi pwede maging zero tax ang mga maliliit ang income ? what about sa receipt sir fox required ba sa lahat yun basta 8%?

The higher the gross receipts, the higher will be the resulting taxable income and tax due. If the resulting taxable income is negative, no tax due.

You have to keep your copy of receipts as proof of your sales should BIR Examiners will come to audit you.

Example:
1st qtr. = 90,000
250,000 - 90,000=160,000

@fox paano sistema ng bayaran nyan? since 4th quarter pa mabubuo at madededuct yung

2nd qtr. =85,000
160,000-85,000 =75,000

3rd qtr. = 93000
75,000-93,000= -18,000

Yung 18k na excess yun ang lalagyan nyo ng 8%, so 1,440 ang tax na babayaran nyo lang. for the whole year.

need to include receipts for the 4th quarter...
+8% of 4Q Gross Receipts

@fox paano sistema ng pagbayad once a year na lang ba? kasi dun mo pa lang matotoal at maawas / malalaman ang remainig ng gross less 250k?

Need to file 1701Q kahit negative ang resulting taxable income, viz:

1st Quarter:
Gross receipts = 90,000
Allowable deduction = 250,000
Taxable income = (160,000)
Tax due = zero
*Online filing using EBIRForms

2nd Quarter:
Gross receipts, 2Q = 85,000
Add-receipts prevQs = 90,000
Total receipts = 175,000
Allowable deduction = 250,000
Taxable income = (75,000)
Tax due = zero
*Online filing using EBIRForms

3rd Quarter:
Gross receipts, 3Q = 93,000
Add-receipts prevQs = 175,000
Total receipts = 268,000
Allowable deduction = 250,000
Taxable income = 18,000
Tax due = [18,000 x 8%] = P1,440
*Manual filing via AABs/RCO

4th Quarter:
Gross receipts = 72,000
*No filing of 1701Q, file your 1701A instead

1701A (Annual Income Tax Return):
Total receipts = 340,000
Allowable deduction = 250,000
Taxable income = 90,000
Tax due = [90,000 x 8%] = P7,200
Less: Payments, prevQs = 1,440
Income tax still due = P5,760
*Manual filing via AABs/RCO
