Napanood nyo po ba yung news yesterday regarding sa MOA between the City of Navotas and Optical Media Board (OMB). Regarding po 'to sa re-application ng business permit sa area ni Navster for next year para sa mga PC shops and alike services na sumasaklaw sa kapangyarihan ni bestfriend OMB.=) Ang siste, is if you haven't completed and acquire the accreditation from our bestfriend, ala kang permit to operate next year.

Anyhow, to those who want to know what's on the list, 'eto na po...

- Letter of Intent addressed to the Chairman
- Duly filled-up and notarized application form in triplicate copy <awts.. >
- Four (4) pcs latest 2x2 signed photo of applicant
- Photo of establishment's facede with "permanent signboard" <awts!!!>
- Certificate of Business Name from DTI
- Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws or Articles of Partnership <feeling nila puro "Netopia" ang shop na nakatayo dito... heheheee... awts!!! >
- Latest GIS (General Information Sheet) with stamp receipt of SEC. <another dagdag gastos>
- Board Resolution with Secretary's Certificate authorizing the Signatory to represent the Corporation. <grabe.. lalim.. di 'ko ma-gets... tingin nila sa pc shop is "corporate".. "wow" big income.. hehehee...
- Comprehensive location sketch of establishment ( w/ street names, landmarks)
- Floor lay-out of establishment <para alam nila kung san ka tatakbo.. hihihiii... >
- TIN of business establishment
- Table of Organization and List of Officers with addresses <Wow!!!
- List of Machines/Equipment (CD Writer) - Make/Model/Serial No. <bwahahaha... wala ka ng kawala.. malalaman na talaga nila kung magkano ang totoong puhunan mo.. susunod na ang BIR nyan...hehehee >
- Additional Requirements... <blank lang po sya.. for future refernces 'ata.. hehehee.... >

Ok sabi nga ng ibang tao everything has a silvery lining. yes, sabihin na natin itong move na ito ng OMB will bring new w heart aches on the part of the internet cafe owners but i doubt if it would kill the industry.

for a long while sir ixowner have been telling us that this day would come and yes it is coming soon. if doods could do it in navotas what would prevent him from imposing it on other municipalities and cities as well.

i believe this is just a start and he would not be satisfied with navotas alone. those who fear that the industry would collapse because of this then they have to think again. for one it is already proven with the sales that we are reporting right now that the gaming model is already obsolete. those who are using this model are having a hard time. as what i have said before we have to add additional services and products to compliment our business model.

we still have alternatives. kung ayaw nilang pagamit ang windows bakit hindi ba natin magagamit ang open source na software? ibahin lang natin ang business model. bakit hindi ba pwedent maging isang business center ang isang internet cafe. dagdag ka ng room para sa mga opis for rent per day or per month para doon sa hindi maka afford.

simple things lang pero may dating kaya don't worry much about it we still have alternatives hindi ang buhay natin nakasalalay kay microsoft. mayroon pa

The list of requirements mentioned by the TS are those which an I-Cafe owner must submit to OMB in order to secure the permit to legally use an optical media writer in accordance with R.A. No. 9239 and OMB M.C. No. 2005-002. Depending on how you will negotiate/justify, some items may be deleted at the option of OMB. Our ICA was able to narrow down the list when we negotiated with them early this year.

As explained during the orientation seminar

This is a pioneering project initiated by the City Mayor thru his letter to OMB chairman Edu Manzano

A government to government project.

Based on some information stated by atty. Cyrus of OMB

OMB accreditation is not cumpolsory to all Internet cafe.

But having the Accreditation sticker posted on your I cafe, It will be easier for them to distinguished the compliant I Cafe.
The accreditation cost is very minimal and the requirements are not so heavy compared to those who are applying for CD burning ang selling of optical media products.

The only reason that it will be required for Navotas I Cafe is because of the Memorandum of Agreement between the two Govt. agencies.
As it was a pioneering project, for sure they they (OMB) will continue this as a nationwide campaign if it comes out with a possitve result.
